Mrs. Jackson has long been a favorite with students at H. P. H. S. There are few boys or girls in the school who have not known her winning smile and helpful guidance. The news of her father’s death was a shock to the entire school; and the staff feels sure that, through these lines, it is ex pressing the sympathy and love of hundreds of students. Many high schoolers will be included in the Jaycee Jollies’ cast. Beta Members To Attend Convention On Friday. Anril 29, eleven miembers of the High Point chap ter of the National Beta Club will attend the state convention in Raleigh, which is to be held at the Sir Walter Raleigh Hotel. Boys^ Glee Club Formed Under the direction of Mr. Carl G. N. Cronstedt, a new boys’ glee club has recently been organ ized here. At their first meeting in the choir room, Mr. Cronstedt an nounced that the new group would hold at least two meetings a week, one in the morning before classes, and one at some desig nated time after school. With ap proximately thirty-five voices par ticipating in the rehearsing of the chorals, presentations will soon be made to various bodies at an nounced times. A slate of officers has not yet been elected, but Mr. Cronstedt states there will definitely be presiding club officers. The new glee club will consist mainly of A Capella members, and with their past choral back ground, the boys’ chorus should soon be ready to produce a pro gram of stirring religous num bers.
