Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, came into this world to seek and save all who are lost. He left the whole flock of sheep that was safe, and went out to find the one which had strayed away from the safety of the flock and was lost. He tells us in Rev. 3:20 this, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” Jesus Christ is the good shepherd and he gave his life for his sheep. If you hear him knocking at your door, won’t you open your door and invite him into your heart? He wants to come in and abide with you. He will be your good shepherd. He cares for you and will keep you safely in the flock. Easter time and beautiful children was the theme at churches throughout the nation last Sunday and the children at the Vanceboro Methodist Church were dressed for the occasion.
