(Lam) WItherington, 3rd son. 4th child of Reuben and Penelope WItherington was born Mar. 17,1834 and died Nov. 14,1910. He married Lucretia Stokes born Jan. 29,1841, died Jan. 2, 1926. They had 6 children; 1. Lydia WItherington (1861-1887) married Canady Moore and had Sally Moore who married Edward Walton Jones and George Milton Moore who married 1st Lennie Brinson and 2nd Annie Fornes. 2. George Mack WItherington (1863-1953) married 1st Jennie Roach and had George who died, Jasper Earl who married Mary Moore, an infant who died, Donald WItherington who married Ruth McLawhorn. G.M. WItherington married second Carrie Burney and had Burney Lee WItherington who married Mary Morton Williams. 3. Lula WItherington (1866-1939) married Joe M. Dixon and had Lorena who married Willis D. Mosely, Lizzie Dixon who married Ola S. Kittrell, Lillian May Dixon who died young, Lammie Oliver Dixon who married 1st Louise Blover and 2nd Pauline Coghill, Lula Dixon who married Henry Modlin, Lossie Belle Dixon who married W. Snow Nunn, Louise Dixon who married Fred B. Mayo, and an infant dau. who died. 4. Lena WItherington (1869-1871). 5. Maggie Willson WItherington (1872-1951) married Isaac Kilpatrick and had Lillie Mae Kilpatrick, unm.. Lassie Lee Kilpatrick, unm., Katie Lou Kilpatrick who married Millard Manning, Clifton Graham Kilpatrick who married Dorothy Bell, Milton Rhem Kilpatrick who married Katie Lilly Coward, Lydia Pugh Kilpatrick who married Walter Raymond Joyner and Margaret Helen Kilpatrick who married Thomas Hardee. 6. Lawrence Herbert WItherington (1874-1966) married Winifred Moore and had Helen WItherington who married Frederick Eli Congleton, Walter WItherington who married 1st Alice White and 2nd Dorothy Von Guider, Claud Lamm WItherington who married 1st Carrie Lee Cross and 2nd Virginia Druary, Leon WItherington who married 1st Annie Mae Humphries and 2nd Frances Morton, Ethel WItherington who married William J. Francis, and Lawrence Gray WItherington who married Annie Mae Morrison. This year’s campaign was coordinated by Carl Tyer with assistance from Mary Freeman, Joe Walker, Johnny Jones, Ed Johnson, Brad Chesson, Gwynne Johnson, Judy Hoizman and Gerald Morris. Mill Manager, George Henson |aid, “This was the most successful campaign in the history of the mill. Th^e outstanding results can| contributed to the interest extra efforts of everyone involved in the campaign," Henson continued. A grand total of $14,812.07 was collected at the New Bern facility, which more than doubled last year’s campaign. This was the second highest dollar increase of any company in Craven County during the 1984-85 campaign.i Gloria Wynn, Campaign Chairperson for the Plymouth facility, reports that the campaign there is going well with good response.
