He was the first actor to portray Ian Fleming's James Bond in the tilm"Casmo Royale" in 1954. He played in several other shows including "The Twilight Zone," "Alfred Hitchcock Presents," and "What's My Line?" Nelson died on April 7,2007. Sean Connery Born on August 25, 1930 Scottish actor Sean Connery was bom on August 25,1930. He starred in several of the James Bond films including "Dr. No"(1962), "From Russia with Love" (1963), "Goldfinger"(1964), "Thunderball" (1965), "You Only Live Twice" (1967), "Diamonds Are Forever"(1971), and "Never Say Never Again"(1983). Most crtitics consider him as the best Bond. Recognized as "The Greatest Living Scot," Connery was later proclaimed "Sexiest Man Alive" by "People" magazine in 1989 and "Sexiest Man of the Century"in 1999 at the age of 69. Beginning to lose his hair at 21, Connery wore wigs in most of his movie roles.. Timothy Dalton Bom on March 21, 1946, in Wales, British Timothy Dalton played the role of James Bond in both "The Living Daylights" (1989) and "License to Kill" (1995). His portrayal was a more gritty and rough version of Bond and focused on the darker side of the character. At 6'2, he was also the tallest Bond to date. Dalton is also well known for his role as King Phillip 11 of France in the movie "The Lion in Winter" (1968). Roger Moore Actor Roger Moore was born in Stockwell, London on October 14,1927. Appearing in "Live and Let Die" (1973), "The Man with the Golden Gun" (1974), "The Spy Who Loved Me" (1977), "Moonraker" (1979), "For Your Eyes Only" (1981), "Octopussy" (1983), and "A View to a Kill" (1985). he proved to be a very popular James Bond. Most fans agree that "The Spy Who Loved Me" was the best of the seven. He also starred in a television program called "The Saint" from 1962-1969. Moore's contract for 007 included an unlimited supply of cigars during filming. The bills for those cigars ran in the thousands. Pierce Brosnan Irish actor Piercxe Brosnan was bornorn May 16, 1953. Starring in "Goldeneye" (1995), "Tomorrow Never Dies" (1997), "The World is not Enough" (1999), and "Die Another Day" (2002), his Bond films grossed over $1.6 billion. He has also been honored over the years with an MTV Award nomination in 1996 for "Best Fight," which he shared with Famke Janssen; a Saturn Award (1998) for Best Actor in"Tomorrow Never Dies); a Blockbuster Entertainment Award (2000) for Favorite Actor.. In 2008, Brosnan became the voice of Thomas, the blue train from the children's show "Thomas & Friends." % W'- ■ Daniel Craig Daniel Craig, the most recent man to play James Bond, starred in "Casino Royale" 2006) and "Quantum of Solace" (2008). He is also the youngest Bond, bom March 2,1968. Craig has played in several other action movies as well, including "Tomb Raider" and "The Golden Compass." He describes his portrayal of Bond as that of an anti-hero: "The question I keep asking myself while playing the role is 'Am I the good guy or just a bad guy who works for the good side"? His favorite Bond movie is "From Russia with Love."
