r November 30,2011 spread 7 JAMES BOND! k/ V- Daniela Bianchi Born January 31, 1942, Italian actress Daniela Bianchi played a Bond I girl named Tatiana Romanova in the second James Bond film, "From Russia with Love." Bianchi was the first f runner-up in the 1960 Miss Universe contest. She retired in 1970 to start a family. Ursula Andress Swedish actress Ursula Andress was born March 19, 1936. She played a Bond girl named Honey Ryder in the first of many James Bond movies, "Dr. No" in 1962. Her performance in the movie earned her a Golden Globe Award. Andress also played Vesper Lynd in the 1967 James Bond movie entitled "Casino Royale." Honor Blackman Another Bond girl. Honor Blackman, was born August 22,1925. The English actress assumed the role of Pussy Galore in the third James Bond film, "Goldfinger," in 1964. Blackman trained to become an actress at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in West London. In order to prepare for her role in "Goldfinger," Blackman practiced judo, a form of martial arts. Claudine Auger French actress Claudine Auger, bom June 10,1937, portrayed the role of Bond girl Dominique "Domino" Derval in the fourth James Bond film, "ThunderbaU," in 1965. Auger was the first runner-up in the 1958 Miss World contest. Her role m "ThunderbaU" helped launch her career as a successful European actress. S Jill St. John Born August 19, 1940, American actress Jill St. John played Bond girl Tiffany Case in the 1971 James Bond film "Diamonds Are Forever." Other work to her credit include "The Lost World" (1960) and "Come Blow Your Horn" (1963), for which she earned a Golden Globe award. She costarred in television shows with Dennis Weaver in "Emerald Point" (1983-84) and her husband Robert Wagner in the pilot for "Hart to Hart." She has been married four times and has three stepdaughters. Olga Kurylenko French actress and model Olga Kurylenko was born November 14,1979. She played Bond girl CamiUe Montes in the 22"^ James Bond film "Quantum of Solace." As the first Bond girl from a post-Soviet state, Russians expressed mixed reactions to her, accusing her of “moral and intellectual betrayal” by starring in a film about an enemy of the Soviets, referring to James Bond. Kurylenko has performed in over 15 films and was featured on the covers of "Vogue," "Elle," and "Marie Claire" magazines. \ Jane Seymour English actress Jane Seymour was bom February 15,1951. She played Solitaire, one of the Bond girls, in the 1973 film "Live and Let Die"and starred in "East of Eden" in 1983. She costarred with Christopher Reeve in the romantic fantasy "Somewhere in Time" (1980) and carried the leading role in"Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" from 1993-2001. Seymour has earned an Emmy Award, two Golden Globe awards, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
