RMTTHFIELD HIGH TIMES Page 10 Hello, there I May I introduce myself? I am your fashion editor for the 1965 - 1966 school year, I do hope I serve you in a way that will make you proud of this section of your paper. You know, fall is falling and winter is on its way now as the winds get chilly, the nights come faster, and the fashions get more exciting than ever. For school wear, everyone is wild about the "nothing” skirts with no waistband. Worn with these are print blouses, with sweaters. V-necked cardigans seemi to head the sweater list this season in popularity.. Turtle-necked sweaters and dickeys are versatile as well as popular. They can be worn under V-necked cardigans, pullovers, or blouses. These combinations are seen with both skirts and slacks. The sweaters are nice along with either skirts or slacks for those days that are too chilly for less, but too warm for more. I’ve noticed quite a few casual suits at the ballgames lately. These are seen in morrocco blue, creme de menthe green, and sherry red, to mention only a few colors, with coordinate blouses. I’ve heard and seen advertisements on the long granny dresses which first met popularity in the west. These are ankle-length dresses for those occassions when we girls want to be different and outstanding. They come in lively cotton prints and a variety of colors. Though they were popular in the west, it’s hard to predict how they will be accepted here. Frankly, I think they’re darling* The ‘’London Look" is coining into view this season with bows at the neck, chains at the low waist, vests,^ and other distinguishing characteristics The Trench Coat is definitely "London." I haven’t seen many of these, though I hav4= heard approval. I suppose all the ever- popular "London Fog" maincoats are still in good condition. Another phase of the '•London Look" is the coordinate sweater and stocking. The sweater and stock ing have some striking design on them and are worn with a solid skirt, a little shorter than skirts not worn with these stockings. Walking heels have been worn with these casual styles. This is a change which I, personally, am glad to see. Of course, loafers still have their place in the casual wardrobe and fill it just as well as the heels.
