Each committee is made up of SGA represen tatives and four members from the student body, one from each division. The Activities Committee plans functions for students during the year. Activities center around interests and requests of the entire student body. At present their task is making arrangements for the Christmas Dance at the Convention Center on December 22. The Sports Committee is responsible for all aspects of any sports involving student par ticipation. They are very busy now with the details for our basketball teams. This will be the biggest basketball season in the history of FTI. We will have two men’s teams and one women’s team. The Informational Service Committee keeps students, faculty, and staff up to date on happenings around campus. Posters, memos, or verbal messages are distributed by this group. Questions or problems on campus may be resolved by contacting this committee. They can, then, take action with the proper source. Last spring Student Services dissolved the existing SGA and organized a new system. The old Constitution was discarded. At present, FTI is operating under an interim SGA with an interim Constitution. The responsibility of the Constitution Committee is to execute a new Constitution. The results of this committee will affect FTI Students for years to come. Much serious thought, research, and hard work will evolve from this group. The following is a list of SGA Representatives on each com mittee: Activities: Ricky Hairston Courtney Massey Lynda Stewart Bill Kiger Brenda Settle Sports: Bill Kiger Leander Logan Debbie Snyder Informational Services: Leander Logan Courtney Massey Constitution: Bill Price Lynda Stewart Ruth Everhart Now that you have read the responsibilities of each com mittee, choose the one you prefer.
