Mrs. Billings Entertains American legion Auxiliary One of the most enjoyable meeting of the year was held at the home < Mrs. Coy Billings at Vilas, when mejr hers of the American Legion Auxil ary met in regular session Octobc 18. The living room was decorate with autumn flowers and a glowin open fire and shaded lights made th room very cozy The feature of the program wa the impressive ceremony for Install; tion of officers, presided over by Mr C. W. Teal, District committee woma of the seventeenth district. The meeting was turned over t the incoming president, Mrs. Co Billings, who presided over the bus ncss session. Routine matters bein disposed of Mrs. Teal, the retirin president, presented the auxiliar with a beautiful engraved officii gavel. During the social hour, the hosl ess served delicious refreshments coi sisting of a salad and a sweet cours accompanied by coffee. October Meeting Cove Creek Club The October meeting of the Gov Creek Community Club was held i the Home Economics building at Cov Creek High School. The club was entertained by th girls of the first year class in Horn Economics, who gave an interestin program on fruits. Members of the club agreed th? this fund should be used in buyin needed equipment for the elemental grades. Delicious refreshments were serve by Mrs. H. E. Deal, and Mrs. Jam( B. Miller. Livingston Club Meets With Mrs. Council! Mrs. Jim Councill was in charge < the Livingston Club program whit met Monday evening, October 14 > the home of Mrs. Mullins. The pr gram on "Rural Work in Korea" wj made very interesting with discu sions given by >Irs. Stanbury, Ho ton and Whitner. Mrs. Mullins ai Whitner sang a solo, "O Moanir Land."
