Rudolph Jordan, of Tyner, is ex periencing considerable difficulty in his laying flock by having insuffi cient housing room and lack of pro per housing. Mr. Jordan has about 600 layers housed in space sufficient for 400. The flock is being culled to fit the housing space, but the loss of around 200 promising layers and the handicap by crowding of others has caused a considerable loss in pro duction. Mr. Jordan, is learning by the hard method, that proper housing and space is very, very important for the laying flock. With the assistance of T. T. Brown and the other members of the State Extension Poultry Department, plans have been made to hold a poultry school for this district at Cross Roads on February 2, 1942. . ‘The Messiah’ Heard At Williamston On Sunday Several Edentonians went to Wil liamston Sunday afternoon to hear Hand.el’s “The Messiah,” which was presented by the North Carolina Choral Symphony, conducted by Lewis Sidney Bullock.
