Twelve students at Cho
wan High School, in grades
five through 12, made the
“A” honor roll for the
year.
This was revealed this
week when Principal Ken
neth L. Stalls released the
lists of honor students for
the year as well as the
final grading period.

Meeting Slated
A special meeting of the
stockholders of the Peoples
Bank and Trust Company
will be held on June 25 to
consider a recommenda
tion from the board of di
rectors for an increase
from 400,000 to 1,000,000
the number of outstanding
shares of common stock of
$5 par value.
Ibis increase is recom
mended so that a 100 per
cent stock dividend may
be paid to the shareholders
of record at close of busi
ness on June 26.
