Utter To The Editor We had the great pleasure of visiting your lovely city from August 1-August 4. I would appreciate it if you would let us express our roony “thank you’s” through your newspaper which we enjoyed while there. We went by boat and docked at your city dock (three boats), Sara Miller from the Visitor Center-Museum welcomed us and immediately made us fed at home. She also went beyond the call of futy in seeing that we had the full tour of your interesting city. Robert Moore very graciously carried us on a tour of the out-of-town interesting places, including the Wine Cellars, Inc., which was a most pleasant experience. You should be proud of Mr. Moore and Brenda at your Chamber of Commerce. This was quite a help to us as we were unable to rent a car. Many others were equally nice to us: Meadows Steam Cleaning, who located a diver to retrieve my husband’s glasses from the sound. Thanks to the young man whose name I did not get. J. H. Conger, Inc., The chief of Police and his staff and Dr. Tom Bruce of the Diagnostic Animal Clinic, who loaned us his car each night so we could enjoy the good food at Mrs. Boswell’s and Sound View. Thanks to everyone and we look forward to a return trip to your beautiful and historic Edenton. We have suggested this trip to other boaters and hope “The Mistress” from Naples, Fla., got there on Friday, August 6.
