The Psalmist says “Search me, 0 God, and know my heart and lead me in the way everlasting”. We need to face up to our selves from time to time and ask God to “search me, and try me, and take away my sins - purge me from all the spiritual cancers that separate me from God and my neighbors”. The burden of guilt will be lifted off our shoulders by God’s grace and mercy. I know of nothing that brings as much joy to God’s heart as when one of His children seek Him in such a manner. God hears and forgives. Stan and Lorraine Tur byfill sang a lovely duet entitled “A Place of Quiet Rest”. The words of this beautiful humn became more meaningful as then voices blended in perfect harmony. They were ac companied by Janie Harrell at the piano. —O— On Saturday, Sept. 4th, the Men’s Fellowship Breakfast will be held in Fellowship Hall at 8 A.M. All men in the community are invited. Bandon’s Board of Deacons will meet following the breakfast, at 9:30 A.M. A hearty welcome is extended to our first timers this week: Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cumbia and family of Arrowhead Beach and Mrs. Lillie Keller of Ports mouth, mother of Bill Keller. We hope you enjoyed our services and will return soon. A warm greeting is extended to Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Lassiter of Suffolk, Va. They have joined the ranks of proud grand parents. Congratulations! —O— Carlton Kight is “bursting at the seams”! His daughter, Kathy, presented him with a beautiful granddaughter Friday night. Her name is Bridgett Nichole Lillard. Congratulations! Covered Dish Luncheon Sunday was one of the best ever! Everyone present (39 people) enjoyed the fine fellowship and the home cooked food. There was a variety of meats, vegetables, salads and desserts - all of it absolutely delicious! If you missed this one, be sure to plan for the next.
