It was through the Learning Lab that some of these people had the priviledge to complete their high school education and thus move on to jobs and opportunities previously unavailable to them. The College of the Albemarle sponsors the center in Edenton, primarily for adults who may work on courses leading to a High School Diploma or the High School Equivalency Cer tificate. Its special function is to provide the materials, space, and teacher for people who are interested in com pleting their high school education.
