Letter To The Editor Dear Editor: Will you help us spread the word about an organization called “Lifeline”? The following editorial, written by Melissa Lawrence and Sandra Parrish for our school newspaper, tells how we feel: “Expressions of “Help Me! Save me! I’m in trouble! should never go unanswered, especially from disabled or elderly people who are alone. The program “Lifeline” can prevent that from happening. A “lifeline” is a beeper-like device hanging around a per son’s neck or hooked on a belt. When someone needs help, the only thing they have to do is mash the button. This buzzes at the hospital. The hospital then calls a neighbor who has agreed to go to that person’s house and check on them. Many people are in con valescent homes because they I For All Os Your Insurance Needs COcttad I Allen B. Harless, Jr. m I Kellogg-Morgan Agency, Inc. I EDENTON.
