Adult Open League Basketball Clagman claims scoring title - Larry Clagman of Atlantic Forest claimed the 1985-86 Open League scoring title with a 15.2 average per game. Larry also had the single game high for the year with 43 points. Basketball Awards Program / The 1985-86 Basketball Awards’ ■ Program will be held Tuesday, March 11 starting at 7:00 p.m. at the Recreation Department. The Program will recognize all the participants who played on each of the nineteen youth league teams. Coaches and parents are invited to attend to help recognize the accomplishments of these young athletes. Refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the Program. Junior League All-Stars The Junior League All-Stars, ages 13-15, traveled to New Bern over the past weekend to compete in the Eastern Athletic Con ference Basketball Tournament. Even though they lost in the first round, the following boys deserve recognition for their selection as ff All-Stars: Andre Bond, Willie Holley, Tony Jackson, Bill Leary, Aaron Little, Chuckie Paylin, Jerald Perry, David Raynor and Tony White. Roller Skating Night The Recreation Department will host a night of Roller Skating •on Friday, March 14 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. You must bring your own skates. Music, games and prizes will be provided by the Recreation Department. There is a fifty cents admission charge. After seeing some tough competitors, Coach Waymann Humphrey made the final choice. This year’s team is composed of the following feirls: Gabrielle Webster, Laura Wilson, Shannon Anderson, Tara Cox, Carolyn Stallings, Terra Anthony, Lisa Creighton, Felicia Bonner, Lynn Wilson, Regina Jones, Cheri Blount, Jennifer Parry, Melissa Lawrence, Rosalyn Carter, and Natalie Ward. Congratulations to these girls for making the team. The Edenton Sr. League All-Stars took second place honors ti» a re cent All-Star Tournament held in Ayden. Members are Roy Harrell, Randy Lawrence, Keith White, Oliver Holley, Kevin Stallings, Steve Owens, Edward Perry, Mike Harris and William Caudle. • Lee Dell Leary of Chowan and Wayne Copeland of the Supreme Court get set for the jump ball to start the championship game of the recent Open League Tournament.
