WEDNESDAY, JULY 19 ■ Traveling World War I Exhibit Come join us at the Historic Edenton Visitor Center on North Broad Street in Edenton for a traveling exhibit on World War I prepared by the North Carolina Museum of History. The exhibit also includes local materials on loan. The exhibit is located in the lobby area of the Visitor Center where it will remain through July 23 during regular hours of operation. For more info, call 482-2637. ■ StoryTime at Library If you have a toddler 3-5 years of age at home, come join us upstairs at the Shepard-Pruden Memorial Library in downtown Edenton for StoryTime from 11-11:30 am. each Wednesday morning. Eqjoy books, music and a simple craft with your child. It’s free. Questions, call the library at 4824112. ■ Overeaters Anonymous Overeaters Anonymous meets every Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at Bandon Chapel, 200 Bandon Road, Arrowhead Beach in Edenton. THURSDAY, JULY 20 ■ World War I Program LeRae Umfleet from the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources will present a special program on the traveling exhibit, “North Carolina in the Great War,” at the Historic Edenton Visitor Center from 5-7 p.m. Portions of the World War I-themed exhibit can be seen in the lobby at the visitor center and includes some items on loan from local families. If you plan to attend, please call 482-2637 to reserve a spot at this free program since seating is limited. Everyone is welcome. SATURDAY, JULY 22 ■ Edenton Farmers Market Shop the Edenton Farmers Market from 8 a.m. until noon for many great items such as seasonal veggies, local ly raised lamb and pork, NC seafood, homemade desserts, NC cheeses, homemade soap, original crafts, and more.
