Cherokee County, North Carolina,
on the 7th day ot September. 1925.
a petition was presented to the said
Board and signed by more than one
fifth of the qualified voters of said
boundary in Murphy township. Cherokee
County, North Carolina, hereinafter
set out asking that an election
be called by said board to vote
stoek law election or against stock
law.
It is ordered by th? board of Courty
Commissioners of Cherokee County,
Notth Carolina, in regular session
on the 1st Monday in September
1925, that an election be held
under the rules and rigulation? of
the general election laws of the statn
of North Carolina at the grand stall
in the ball park at Murphy, X. C.,
in said boundary hereinafter set out
on the 24th day of October, 192">,
to vote for stock law or against stock

of the Blairsville Young
Harris highway, known a.1- state
route number two, under the supervision
of State Convict Warden
Mr. G. H. Law, with Mr. Frank
Hurbert of Young Harris, in charge
of concrete work, is progressing
with great rapidity. At the present
progress the highway will be open
foi service by spring. This is the
breaking tf another barrier which
affords an east and west route.
This highway intersects with the
Appalachian Scenic Highway at
Blairsville en route to Blue Ridge,
Ga.
MAD DOG RUNS AMIirg
Blairsville, Ga., Oct. 1" ?A mad
ring entered the home of Mr. James
Wimpy of Arkaquah near here while
the family was at the dining tabic.
The tabied dog bit Mi. Wimpy > dog.
All the family escaped unharmed.
A posse of several men a med with
shot guns, horse pistols, and o'.het
shooting irois of heterogeneous
types, put sued the dog and after a
few miles the rabied canine was overtaken
and killed. Nothing else was
known to he bitten.
