Class lea will be held each Tueaday at | the Retfil Hotel. Parents interested In enrolling their children In the classes may do so bv contacting Mrs. Reich man. The charge la $5 per month. Classes will be held for the fol lowing ages at the time indicat ed: four to six years old, 1 :*5 p. m ; six to eight years old, S p. m.; and older than eight, 4 to 8 p. m. Mrs. Reichman will also begin dancing classes in Andrews dur ing February, and persons Inter ested In the Andrews Instructions may call Mrs. Reichman. Kindley Gives Cokes To Polio Drive The Coca-Cola Bottling Company has donated BO cases of Cokes to the March of Dimes Drive in each of six Western North Carolina counties, T. W. Kindley of Bryson City, manager, said today. Cherokee County will receive 50 , cases of Cokes as will Clay, Gra- ( ham, Swain, Macon and Jackson. 1 The 50 Vases include 100 12 bottle cartons, Kindley said. Sale of the Cokes will be spou sored by civic organizations. Kin dley said 25 case> win be left iii Andrews and 25 in Murphy with total proceeds going to the polio fund. Expected production trom the state's burley crop remains at 20,520,000 pounds, the same as In 1953. Band Plays At JWC Meet Here H?e Murphy School Band, of ?ome S3 pieces, presented a pro gram for the Miinihy Junior Wo man'! Club meeting here Thurs day at the school auditorium. The band last month was enlarg ed with some 30 new members be ing promoted from the Junior band to the senior band. Edward Rey nolds is director of the band. Majorettes. Misses Ann Maynor, Nettle Sue Dockery and Linda English, also did a baton twirling routine in a number directed by drum major Miss Judy Sneed. Mrs. Bob Whlt^ was chairman of the program, after which refresh ments were served for the band and Junior Woman's Club mem bers in the primary school auditor ium. Hostesses were Mrs. Orville Middle ton, Mrs. Howard Brown, Mrs. Jack Crawford, Miss Wilma Tate and Mrs. Bobby Cobb. During me Dusiness session, pre sided over by the president, Miss Elizabeth Gray, the club voted to co-sponsor with the men's civic clubs, the polio benefit dance. Feb. 5. The women will be in charge of decorations and coat check. A committee was appointed to | work out plans for sponsoring the Girl Scout Troop, and the Spring fashion show was discussed. Some 40 members and guests were present.
