The Town of Murphhy does not in any manner guarantee the ac curacy of these estimates, and bid ders must satisfy themselves aa to the actual amount and kinds of merchantable timber designated for cutting and mutt make their bids in sole reliance upon their own estimate and judgment. A detailed breakdown of these estimates are on file at the office of the Town Clerk and may be examined upon request. The fire control access road as sketched on the timber sale map must be constructed in its entirety. Said road will be ac tually located on the ground jointly by the buyer and seller with only minor deviations being permitted from be location shown on the map. Additional spur roads for removal of the timber may be constructed at locations approved by the Town of Murphy. Said designated sawtimber trees will be sold where Is and as is on a lump sum basis. Bidders will be required to use the prescribed bid form, copies of which may be ob tained from the Town Clerk. The Town of Murphy reserves the right to detay awarding the con tract to the successful bidder for a period of ten days following the 9th Bay of November, 1959. IS. The search wai for an Imaginary plan; lost somewhere between KnoxWlle. Tenn., and Andrews. Of flcrs and cadets searched (or a simulated crash site. Lt. Charles Bal!>?ntine of the Haywood County squadron used his plane to fly the mission. Members of the squadron participated as observers. Lt. Howard Kilpatrick, squadron com mander, was in charge of the mis sion. The entire mission was carried out as nearly as possible in realis tic fashion in order to give mem bers the training they need in con ducting this type of mission. Dur ing rec.?nt months the Civil Air Patrol has been called out on simi lar missions in which a plane was actually lost. In addition to this type of public service, the squad ron has assisted in traffic control and a search for a lost baby in Wiaynesville. Most of the senior members and cadets haw completed Red Cross first aid training and constitute a group that is ready to render ser vice in search and rescue work. North Carolina State Fair Sited As "Big Success" By Mrs. Elsie Pietz One thing I know Is that it's a long ways to The State Fair in Ral eigh. I started Sunday noon alone in my V. W. and had some interesting stops on the way. Traffic slowed me down so I arrived at a Method st Church (Asbury I believe it was) in Asheviile a little after 1 p M. The weddit<g at 3:30 p. m. was i beautiful one with eleven brides maids. the organist, eleven ushers, a tiny flower girl and her *maV male companion. The bridesmaids each has bouq lets of four large mums (bronte, [ guess would be the color) while iusie Roberts, the bride, looked ovety in her white lace gown and rain. (It looked like brocaded sal tin.) Anyhow, f enjoyed the scene wh le the professional photographer and friends took various pictures rf the weddng group.
