Norwood, presi dent, presided. Devotions were led by Mrs. E. C. Dudley. Following the devotional period Mrs. E. P. Enterprise St. During the devotional period the group sang Christmas carols. The group decided to give food baskets to the sick and needy for Christmas. Members present were Mrs. Vic tor Cain, Mrs. C. K. Brown, Wil liam Cook, Mrs. Pearl Gibson, Mrs, Ruth Ford, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Meadows, Mr. and Mrs. Manugell Meadows, Melvin Leach, and Mrs. Mary Dove. Mrs. Odell L. Jones was guest. Mrs. Hinton served refreshrnontF to the members and guest. The next meeting will be held with Mrs, Pearl Gibson, 806 South Street. "CHRISTMAS SPIRIT IN THE AIR" AT GARDEN CLUB MEET Mrs, Roxic Rowland was hostess to the Year Round Garden Club on Monday evening, December 3, at her home pn Fayetteville St. The "Garden. Gate" was opened by Mra. Bugenia itirimons. Mrs. Pearl Cordice, president, presided during the brief business session. The “Christmas Spirit” was in the air at this meeting. Mrs. Row land’s homa was decorated throughout by the members in keeping with the theme of deco rative Ideas for Christmas. Meth ods for making the decorations were explained by the persons making them. Mrs. Ada Leach led the group in singing of Christmas carols. Mrs. Rowland, assisted by Mrs, Beulah Hill, her daughter, and Mre. Christian Tottem, i^ed tu- na-fish balls, cranberry sauce, pickled beets, potato chips, hot rolls, hot punch, nuts, and candy, Mrs. Ada Leach closed the “Gar den Gate”.
