SAT, JANUAAY 24.1931 Fayetteville mngs By Mrs. T.H.Kinney I "People Caring For People" is the theme for this year's Brotherhood Week to be observed February 2-8, and sponsored by the Fayetteville and Cumberland County Human Services Commissions and Department. Many groups are show ing that people care by sharing a poster, poem, essay, song, dance, or film. A program has been planned so as to interweave these items and to honor outstanding citizens. Let's help show that we care by getting involved, too. Miss Stephanie Lorraine McSwain of Fayetteville and Antonio M. Bailey of Baltimore, Md., were married recently at John Wesley United Methodist Church. ' The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Mildred McSwain and the late Samuel McSwain. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Auburn Bailey of Baltimore, Md. 1 Ms. Linda Harris was hostess for a reception in the church social hall. The bride is a student at Fayetteville Technical Institute-. The bridegroom is in the U.S. Army. The couple will live in Fayetteville. Mr. and Mrs. Richards spent some time with their relatives here during the week. We wish them a safe return to Atlanta. Sgt. Major and Mrs. Harold Lane of Fort Riley, Kan sas, announce the engagement of their daughter, Air man Corliss Yvette, to Airman Le Von Morell. Both are stationed at Pope Air Force Base. Miss Lane is a 1976 graduate of Seventy-First High School and attended Elizabeth City State University and Fayetteville State University. Morell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Morell of Spr ingfield, Ga., is a 1976 graduate of Effingham Co. (Ga.) High School. He is a telecommunication specialist. A January 24 wedding is planned at Parks Free Will Baptist Church here. The Kappas and their guests enjoyed their annual Winter Ball on Friday night at the Lakeview Country Club. Members of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority held their regular monthly meeting at the Eutaw Cafeteria on Saturday. Dinner was delicious and fellowship was enjoyed by all after the business session. On Sunday, members gathered and attended service at the John Wesley United Methodist Church on Cumberland Street. At 3 p.m., Charm School sessions were held at the Women's Gym on Fayetteville State University campus. Many enjoyed "An Evening With Joe Tex" Saturday wight at Lakeview Country Club. Mrs. Miller, Mrs. Frederick, Mrs. Hodges, Mrs. Mclver and their guests made a condolence call at the Cabbiness residence over the weekend in Brooklyn, N.Y. All had a safe trip there and a safe return.
