Early and chil dren, of Cremo, were the guesta of Mr. and Mra. F. E. Evans -on San day afternoon. Misa Kate Davis entertained a ve ry large number of the young peoplg of this town Friday evening. Sev. eral very interesting games were play ! ed. After the games the guests were invited into the dining hall by the hostess and a very delightful dinner! wal served. Those attending the par ' ty were: Missse Lillian and Gladys: Jordan, Elizabeth Ruflln, Ruth Ear- , ly, Mildred Carter, Evelyn Williford Mary and frene Overton; and Messrs. W. A. Wynns, M. L. Hrarell, Hubert Tripp, Edward Early, R. M. Overton, | Lewis Baas, Lena McKeel, Lloyd Ev ans and Joe Brown. They all re ported a very enjoyable evening. Mr. C. C Mitchell, Missea Kate Davie and Mary Overton and Mr. L. ' F. Evans were in Ahoskie a short wtiile ..Wednesday afternoon. S. W. McKeel went to Walston burg last week on buaines Mr. and Mrs. C C. Mitchell and children were the guests of Mrs. Mitchell's father, Mr. Joe Holaman, near Aulander last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. K. W. Bass spent Sunday with Mrs. Bass's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Harrell .near Colerain. We are very glad to report Dr. J. B. Huffin is able to be oat again af ter being ill for a part of last week. Winston spoke 1 to the people on laat Saturday after noon in interest of the Red Croea' work. Mr. Bo rum, of Norfolk, waa the guest of Mr. E. White laat Thuraday and Friday. Lawyer J; H. Matthews, of Wind sor, was id town last Saturday. Mrs. J. J. Beasley left last Satur day for Baltimore, where ahe will visit her son, DeFord, who is at school at Denton, and she will also purchase millinery. Mr*. Hooker ,of Norfolk, is the guest -of Mrs. W. E. White at this writing. Mr. T. E. Beasley spent last weekj end at Foutain with bis aon, Dr. Bruce Beasley. Mr. L. D. Perry left last Sunday for Baltimore, where he will purchaae more goods. The Young Ladies Auxiliary and Royal Ambassodors of the Colerain Baptist Church, which have been re cently organized, gave a public pro gram Sunday night at the church, which was very much enjoyed. 0 J Watch the label on your paper.
