Editor Messenger On the 30th of July the grandest pic nic of the season was held at "Wrights Meadow" about four miles north of Faison. The "Meadow" consists of forty or fifty acres of ground, covered with grass and dotted with large oaks, through the centre of which flows a beautiful stream of water. About 9 o'clock on the day named, the crowd began to gather. They came from all directions. Smithfield, Newton Grove, Goldsboro, Warsaw, Clinton and Faison were represented.
