Lawrence, students of Vance County
Farm Life School, Middleburg, spent
the Thanksgiving holidays with Miss
Mary Egerton, who is also a student
of the same school.
A community meeting was held at
Gold-Sand school building on Tues
day evening of last week. More than
one hundred people were present. An
interesting program was given, which
everyone seemed to enjoy.

home of Miss Mary Egerton during
Thanksgiving holidays: Mr. Thomas

cribed were offered for sale by the
undersigned commissioners on Mon
day, June 25, 1923, under an order of
Court In that Special Proceeding en
titled ",Mary Jane Fostei et als vs M.
T. Hawkins", and whereas said sale
was never confirmed and a decree of
Court has been entered ordering a re
sale of said lands, the undersigned
commissioners will on
MONDAY, DECEMBER 24, 1923,
at or about the hour of Noon at the
Courthouse door in Loulsburg, Frank
lin County, N. C. offer for sale to the
highest bidder that certain tract or
parcel of land situate In Hayesville
township, Franklin Connty, State of
North Carolina, described as follows:
Bounded on the North by tlie lands
of the estate of J. A. Hawkins, on the
East and South by the lands of Mat
thew T. Hawkins and on the West by
the lands of the estate o t J. A. Haw
kins and W. O. Mitchell, containing 97
acres more or less, and being the tract
of land upon which Thomas H. Haw
kins resided at the time of his death.
Terms of Sale ? One-third cash;
balance payable in two equal annual
installments, payable In one and two
years, respectively, bearing Interest at
six per cent per annum from date of
deed until pal 1 and secured by mort
gage or deed of trust on above des
cribed lands.
