A grandfather is a man grand mother. He goes for walks with the boys and they talk about cars and fishing and things like that. Grandmas don't have anything to do but be there when you need them. They are old, so they can't play hard or run and jump. It is enough if they take us to the market and have lots of dimes so we can ride on the pretend horses. Or if they take us for walka, they should slow down past pretty leaves or caterpillars. They should never say, "Hurry up." They are fat, but not too fat to bend down to tie a kid's shoe. They wear glasses and can take their teeth out. It is better if they don't play cards except with us. They don't have to be real smart, only answer questions like why dogs hate cats and why isn't God married. They don't talk baby talk because it is too hard to understand. When they read to us, they don't skip pages or mind If It is the same story over again. Everybody should try to have one, especially If you don't have TV. Grandmas are the only ones who have time for us kids. 1" WED F I E DE R.AL ^mm/not OP" HOCKY MOUNT ill touth Franklin 8tr?t, Rocky Mount, ff .C. / 202 North Main Strm^ Louitbytrg, N.O.
