Mr. and Mrs. Henry Far ber entertained a number of friends at their residence on Monday, the occasion being the naming and bringing into the Jewish faith their eight days old son according to the rites and ceremonies of the Hebrew church. Rabbi J. L. Myrsburg, of Goldsboro, was present to officiate, and after the ceremonies the com nanv was elegantly entertained at an elaborate dinner served in courses and much enjoyed by all present. The Rabbi made a speech, and, as on a former occas ion here, his remarks were well timed and full of Christian love and charity for all assembled of whatever fatth or creed. Show ing that after ail, the Brotherhood of man and the Fatherhood of God are ties much stronger than creeds and differences which separate and divide the people of earth and that we are all striving for the one great essential in the end, a home of heav enly rest and eternal life beyond the borders of earth.
