It is the county seat of Cass county, and this vear finds it with twenty-eight hotels, twelve churches, four banks, three daily and three weekly news papers, several -monthly publica tions, three public halls, an Opera House, a theatre, a Court House, costing $100,000, a system of street railway and of water works supply ing the country for a radius of fifty miles, a good department of schools, gas and electric light plants, three elevators, with .a capacity of over 500,000 bushels, planing and paper mills, 250 stores and many factories .... . .
