The Quta runs from September 1 to December 81, and it will be pos sible for everyone to see all 94 of the pictures If they so desire. The committee asks only that 30 questions he answered, leaving it to tbe co.otestant to pick his own 80 ont of the entire list printed in the quiz guide -book. The contest committee of the $250,000 Movie Qnlz contest of fers the two following samples of how questions will be listed and might be answered: Let us presume that the pic ture is "The .Singular Mr. Quiz,” a Fictitious Picture Corporation production, starring Joe Doakes and Martha Mlllicent. (The title and the stars are of course sup positions.) In one of tbe scenes from this picture, Joe and Martha are left alone in the drawing room of her Park Avenue mansion. Suddenly Martha walks out on Joe. The qnestion is: “'Why did Martha walk out on Joe In the picture, 'The Singular Mr. Quiz’?” One of these four answers is the 'orrect one; 1. She remembers that she has to address a meeting of the League for Prospective Brides. 2. She smells something burn ing in the kitchen. 3. The script calls for it. 4. They have quarreled. Common sense, plus your recol lection of the picture should tell you that Number Four is the correct answer. Check It. The question mav involve nei ther personalities nor action, but may deal with the description of a scene or a m-.'jor "prop” as for example: “ProzeM Champagne (again an imaginary title), a Super-Super Co. production, starring Pierr“ van Zilch and Gwendolyn Goldi locks. Pierre and Gloria have finally disposed of the stolen jewels, and sail from New York to Zanzibar to escape the police. They embark the following tvpe vessel; (Chock the correct answer). 1. A two-seated kavak. 2. The Hoboken ferry. 3. A tramp steamer. 4. The confederate iron-clad "merrimac.’’ i Number three is, vou may have | guessed, the cerreot answer.
