Thief Bound Over
Luke Rooker, colored, charged with stealing articles from the
railway camp cars near the Tiyon Cash Store, was arrested in
Spartanburg county, and brought here for preliminary hearing
yesterday before Justice George E. Bell who bound the prisoner
over to the Superior court. He is now in jail waiting trial.

Good Bank Report
A condensed statement of the Tryon Bank & Trust Co. printed in to
day's Bulletin, is the first official call for a statement since the hank
was organized Jan. 17. Total resources that day were $37,000. 70-
day‘s report shows $109,506.18.
Gymkhana Thursday
The annual Gymkhana entertainment will be held Thursday at Harmon
Field, starting with barbecue dinner at 22:30, races at 2 p.m. An electric
wire his been run to the field. Another new improvement. Tests are
now being made to broadcast the Horse Show Events from the announ
cer to loudspeakers facing the audience, just as they do in big conven
tion halls.
Dance Tonight
■ The annual dance given under the auspices of the Tryon Riding &
Hunt dub and the Inn Keepers Association, will be held tonight at
Lake Lanier Tea House. Arrangements have been made to facilitate park
ing space for tne guests. Roads in good condition.
