Congregational Sunday School Party T^sday At 7:30 P. M. The (Hgregational Church and Sunday school will have their an nual .Christmas program Tuesday night' at 7:30 at the church house. Mrs. Albert Raditz will direct the program, “Let’s Keep Christmas”, adapted from Peter Marshall’s sermon. John L. Brown isN super intendent of the Sunday school. WILLIAM COPELAND Funeral services for William Copeland 84, of near Landrum, who died Friday were conducted Sundav at 3 p. m. at the Landrum First Baptist Church by the Revs. Henry Anderson, C. B. Prince and A. M. Jones. Burial was in Landrum Cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Emma Watson Copeland; two sons, James and Alex of Landrum R-2; two daughters, Mrs. Lizzie Miller of. Landrum and Mrs. Olivia Bur ton of Iva R-l; one brother, J. C. Copeland of Rutherfordton; two sisters, Mrs. E. T. Dobbins of Rutherfordton and Mrs. W. C. Hardin of Forest City; 13 grand children and nine great grand children. Dr. Edmund M. Wylie has gone to Penn Valley, near Philadelphia to spend the Christmas holidays with his daughter, Mrs. J. H. Slater and family. Enroute home to Tryon he will spend New Year’s holidays in Richmond, Va., with his younger daughter, and family. Dr. and Mrs. James Sydnor and children. Tryon students home from St. Genevieve - of-the - Pines, Asheville include Misses Carolyn Placak, Leslie . Taylor, Annette Gagnier, Cornelia. . McLean, Miss Suzette Gagnier is ^spending the holidays in Havana, Cuba. Dr. and Mrs. Austin Woody have as a guest for the holidaqs, Mrs. Woody’s mother, Mrs. H. G. Eller, of New Jersey and Rock Ledge, Florida. Mr. and Mrs. Grady Clark and son, Alfred, of Crossville, Tenn., are spending the holidays with Mr. -Clark’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Lankford in Tryon. SANTA CLAUS —wifi— COME TO TOWN TUESDAY NITE . . . and again we will be open until 9 o’clock for the convenience of those who are too busy to attend to their Christmas^ shopping during the day.
