A program was presented by Mrs. Ruth Anderson, Vice- President of the Saluda Association of Artists and Craftsmen. She told the history of this new organization, its purpose, types of membershps and future plans. She called on several artists to tell of their work. Darleeta Dukes explained her pottery work and showed some of her products. M. R. Haywood demonstrated with samples of her weaving, her sculpture and water color painting. Kathy McCreery showed items made by eleven other Saluda artists. At the business meeting it was voted to designate June 7, as Paint Day, when members will paint the Main Street benches and the picnic tables, benches, the pavillion and playground equipment at the Park.
