Mill Spring, died Sunday morning in St. Luke's Hospital A native of Polk County, he was a son of the late Samuel D. and Hattie Hawkins Owensby. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Ellenboro. Bittner of Litchfield, Conn, are visiting Mrs. Ben Douglas in Tryon. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Derby (Hope Shilletter) have returned to Goldsboro after visiting Mr Derby's sisters, Mrs. Robert Andrews. While here they attended the reunion of the Tryon High School Class of 1941 Saturday at Caro-Mi. Tryon volunteer firemen who attended the annual N. C. Firemen’s Convention in Boone last Thursday through Sunday were Carroll Scoggins, Fred Edwards, Frank Flynn, Ronnie Pack and Mike Hannon. Sam Riggs, Jr. and sons, Rob and Gregg of Dallas.
