Wm. J. Ridings, Jr. William Joseph Ridings, Jr., 53, husband of Thelma Bridgman Ridings of Route 1, Campobello, S. C., died in Spartanburg General Hospital Friday after a brief illness. A native of Rutherford County, he was a son of the late William Joseph Sr. and Alma Blackwell Ridings. He was a farmer and orchardist. He was a Baptist. Also surviving: daughters, Mrs. Linda Dunaway of Boiling Springs, Mrs. Sandra Foster of Spartanburg; son, Charles Ridings of Campobello; stepdaughters, Mrs. Debbie Page of Inman, Julie Fowler of the home; sisters; Mrs. Agnes Skipper of Green Creek, N. C., Mrs. Ruth Harmon of Moore, Mrs. Hazel Hussey of Spartanburg, Mrs. Dorothy Barrs of St. Simon. Ga., Mrs. Jeanette McDade of Brunswick, Ga.; brothers, Loyd, Horace and Pau) Ridings of Inman; Hoyle Ridings of Carlisle; four grandchildren. Services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Jackson Memorial Baptist Church with the Revs. Paul Stevens and Morris Bridges. A native of Rutherford County, N. C., he was a son of the late J’ M. and Gertrude Williams Wilson. He was a member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church and was a retired produce dealer. Also surviving: daughters, Mrs. Ruby Waters of Greenville, Mrs. Kay Dempsey and Mrs. Merle Hardin of Campobello; son, Ervin Wilson of the home; brothers, James Wilson of Gaffney, Corbitt Wilson of Inman, Walter Wilson of Chicago, Boyd Wilson of Clinton; four grandchildren. Graveside services were held at 4:30 Sunday in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Otis McCluney officiating. Seawright Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Tryon Daily Bulletin.
