Summer temperatures of

"huge egg of fashion" and out
of it stepped lovely models
wearing beautiful fashions
that prompted^a "Pre-Easter

professionals including figures
in government, banking

held in the auditorium of the

Greensboro.
The Show's nroducer and
co-ordinator was Mr. Jesse
Suggs, director of the 45
member String Orchestra and

had conducted the orchestra
since 1970. The purpose in
producing the fashion show
was to provide financial

Mr. Suggs, "We wish to
provide a scholarship for a
deserving high school senior
that wishes to pursue a career
in music.
The commentator for the
show was Ms. Lee Miller
(Director of News - WEAL

Chambers would not elaborate
on the letter and would
not offer any sort of statement
until he received additional
evidence.
He is due to be in
Winston-Salem sometimes
this week where he will talk
with members of the local
NAACP chapter.
At their January meeting,
Dr. J.T. McMillan, president
of the local chapter stated that
it was very hard to understand
how a person like Mrs. Cheek
could be fired after the
number of years she worked.
