She was a native of New Bern and had lived in Winston-Salem for several years. She was a member of Bethlehem Holiness Church and a retired employee of Export Leaf Tobacco Co. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mary Wilkes of Winston-Salem; one son-in-law, Mr. Napoleon Wilkes of Winston-Salem; three grandchildren, Marcus Wilkes, Napoleon Wilkes and Marlon Wilkes, all of Winston Salem; one brother, Mr. Jessie Komegay of New Bern;, one sister, Mrs. Mary Komegay of New Bern; several other relatives and friends. Services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9, at Clark S. Brown and Sons Funeral Home, with Bishop Walter J. Jackson officiating. Burial followed in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. Clark S. Brown and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of the funeral arrangements. REV. JAMES LEE HAUSER SR, TheRev. died Friday, Nov. 3, at Baptist Hospital. He was a native of Tobaccovillc and had lived in Winston-Salem for several years. He received his education at Carver High School and did further pastoral study at Hood Seminary of Liv ingstonc College. He was a retired employee of the city of Winston-Salem, Elledge Sewer Division, where he worked for about 20 years. He was a member of Bethania AME Zion Church and was a member of the West N.C. Conference of the AME Zion Church. He served as pastor of Bethany AME Zion Church in Huntsvillc, Ardis Chapel AME Zion Church in Salisbury, Patterson Grove AME in East Bend and Chapel Hill AME Zion Church in Wilkesboro. He is survived by one son, Mr. James Lee Hauscr Jr. of the home; one granddaughter, Ms. Sharon D. Mason of West Dcptford, N.J.; one grandson, Mr. Dante Simon of Winston-Salem; one great-granddaughter, Ms. Ashelce P. Mason of West Dcptford; seven sisters, Ms. Kathcrinc Dalis, Ms. Willie Mac Lash, Ms. Frances Johnson, Ms. Lou Mac Scales, all of Winston-Salem, Ms. Dorothy Con rad of Raleigh, Mrs. Mary Hairston and Mrs. Sally Taylor, both of Walkertown; two brothers, Mr. James E. Scales of Walkertown and Mr. Nelson Scales of Winston-Salem; five brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services were held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7, at Bethania AME Zion Church in Bethania, with the Rev. Bobby Smith officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Clark S. Brown and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of the funeral arrangements. MRS. CATHERINE M. SIDNEY Mrs. Catherine M. Sidney of 4420 Green Meadow died Thursday, Nov. 9, at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Winston-Salem and a retired employee of Taylor Brothers Tobacco Co. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, where she was a former member of the Senior Choir and the Amanda Galloway Missionary. She moved back to Winston-Salem in July from Belcher town and Bloomficld, Conn. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lottie Moore of the home; four grandchildren, Mr. Venorris Martin and Mr. Jasper Martin, both of Winston-Salem, Mr. Marven Pillard of New Haven, Conn., and Ms. Catherine Moore of Bloomficld; 12 grcat-grandchildren; five, great-great Bethlehem's Senior Missionary Group to mark 69th year The Senior Missionary Group of Bethlehem Baptist Church will celebrate its 69th anniversary Sun day, Nov. 19, with two services. The program also will honor the 32nd anniversary of Ernestine U. Griffin, the group's president. Pastor E.L. Clark Sr. will deliv er the 11 a.m. message. There also will be special music presented by the Spiritual Choir, directed by Rudolph Sullivan and Annie Moyc. Dr. H.L. Moore and the congre gation of Mount Carmci Baptist Church will be the guests for the 3 p.m. services. Dr. Moore's choir will present the music. Other women participating will be Maggie Williams and Lillian Sally, devotional; Juanita Harris, solo; Savannah Doby, welcome; Essie LinviHe, afternoon welcome; and Evangelist Mattie Young, pre sentations and remarks. grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. Terry of 820 Charles Court died Mon day, Nov. 6, at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Winston-Salem and an employee of Winston Salem Mass Transit, whefe-hc was a member of the Exec utive Board. He was a member of Fi^st Waughtown Bap tist Church.
