Musical Drama Slated Ui^D The Shiloh Baptist Church Senior Choir will present "The Risen Christ," a musical drama, at 7 p.m. on April 5 and 7 at the church, 916 E. 12th St. Approximately 90 people under the direction of Gwendolyn Stewart will portray the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Installation service set for Nash W-D Brand U.S.D.A. Choice Lean Tender Ministry for Christ Inc. Church, an affiliate of Macedonia TVPH Holiness Churches of God Inc., will hold an installation ser vice for Andrea Miller Nash. The service will be held Thurs day, March 29, at 7:30 p.m. at 1901 E. 14th St. The presiding prelate. Bishop S.D. Johnson, will officiate the ser vice along with the congregation and choirs. Mrs.Nash began the ministry in June 1984 as a home to house the homeless, sick and elderly of all races. The home started with one elderly man from Macedonia TVPH Church, Elder James Adam Hairston. After his death the fol lowing year, Mrs.Nash received a charter for the ministry. The dedica tion service was held in honor of Elder Hairston during the home's grand opening ceremonies. Mrs. Nash, the home's adminis trator, began preaching at the age of 20 at New Hope Church, whose pastor at the time was Bishop Dol- lie M. Bynum. The ministry is going into its eighth year of service and will cele brate its anniversary in June and the church will celebrate its first year of service in April. Bishop Johnson ordained Mrs. Nash in 1986 and she stayed under his leadership for 15 years. Mrs. Nash is married to Dea con Melvin L. Nash and she is the mother of Nowlin D. Miller and Jonathan Spencer Cole. She is the daughter of Ervin and Lillian Robinson. She has one brother, Edward Leon Miller, and one sister, Patricia Miller Douglas. Interdenominational Ministers' Wives, Widows meet The Interdenominational Min isters' Wives and Widows Associa tion met recently at the home of Iveynelle McDaniel. The members were entertained by a dramatization of the play "Oberammergau.” The cast was portrayed by some of the members of the organi zation. Bronnie Daniels was the director. There also were special appre ciation presentations made to Mrs. S. Bonham and Susie Drayton for "Black Personalities in Black Histo ry-" There were 18 members in attendance. The Youth Day service will be held Saturday, March 31, fromll a.ra. to 4 p.m. Registration fees will be $3. Dinner will be served at 1 p.m. The seminar is designed to prepare young people for the future. It is being coordinated by Marian Wise Harris and Alberta Nelson Jackson, president of the educational department. Speakers will include Mrs. Har ris, who will speak on "Personal Appearance." She is a graduate of North Carolina Central University and has begun graduate work towards her master's degree. She currently attending business college in Durham. Mrs. Harris is employed as a home health care technician. Ms. Jackson will speak on "Early Childhood." She is a graduate of Win ston-Salem Stale University and is employed by the local school system. The Rev. Robert Wise Jr. will speak on "Interview and Public Speaking." He is a former WSSU stu dent and has worked with the local school system. He also has a back ground in business. Mary C. Coplin, a graduate of Winsalm Business College, will speak on "Resume Writing and Office Equipment." She is employed by WSSU. Melanie Richardson, will discuss "Management." She is a former Uni versity of North Carolina at Greens boro student and a N.C. A&T May graduation candidate. Pamela Glenn, a graduate of WSSU, will discuss "Telephone Communication." She is employed by Medical Review of North Carolina. Angela Wooten and Lisa Antho ny will present a discussion of "Dress and Coordination." Miss Wooten is a sophomore at WSSU and is employed by Paul Harris Clothing Co. Miss Anthony is a sophomore at Forsyth Tech and is employed at Paul Harris and Lowe's Food Store. Darlien Miller will discuss "Food Preparation." She is employed at WSSU. There will be a musical program, directed by the Rev. Robert Wise Jr., to culminate the Youdi Day services.
