Services will be held Thursday, March 29, at 7:30 p.m. with special guests New Light Baptist Church and their pastor. Rev. Mickens. The Sunday, April 1, program will include Shady Grove Christian Church as the guest church at the morning worship. Ed Simmons is pastor of Shady Grove. Mount Carmel Baptist Church, with the Rev. H.L. Tate I Bishop L.S. Tate, the church's gtor also will celebrate his 10th far at New Faith Chapel. -4 preached his initial sermon It Kimberly Park Holiness Church, le also was a member of the Trustee Board and the Young Adult Choir. Bishop Tate has served as interim pastor of Bethlehem Holi ness Church and as an associate pastor of Mount Calvary Holiness Church. Bishop Tate has been district superintendent of the Sunday School Convention and chair of the district Quarterly Assembly of the Holiness Church of God Inc. In 1975, Bishop Tate served as pastor of Kimberly Park Holiness Church and in 1978 he formed the first L.S. Tate Crusade. In May 1980, New Faith Chapel Holiness Church was found ed under his leadership. In 1981, he was ordained as a bishop at the National Power House of Deliver ance General Convention. In 1985, Bishop Tate became a member of the founding board of the United Pentecostal Churches of Deliverance Inc. He received his doctorate of divinity degree from the United Christian College in Brooklyn, N.Y.
