Jr. Pee Wee, Jr. Bantam Packers Remain In First Place in Pop Warner The Packers remained in first place in the Jr. Pee Wee division and tied for first in both PeeWee arid Jr. Bantam divisions of the Pop Warn er football's American Conference following last week's action. In the National Conference, the Indians held on to first place in the Rag, Mitey-Mite and PeeWee divi sons. The defending Pop Warner National Champion Pfafftown Packer Jr. PeeWees crushed the King Dolphins, 36-0. as six differ ent players scored touchdowns. Jason, Speas, Josh Bevill, B.J. Henry, Louis Thompson, Jacob Hopkins and Mikhael Drum all scored on runs of 8,; 16, 22, 27, 38 and 47 yards, respectively. Packer coach Mark McDaniel said, "We were sluggish in the first halff, but got better as the game progressed.'' The defense was led by Scott Hernandez, Arthur Thompson, Kyle Kiser, Jason Barr and Reggie Thomas, all of whom had at least two tackles behind the line of scrimmage. The Packer's total offense was 289 yards, all on the ground, while the Dolphins were minus-47 yards r for the game. The Packer offense is averagiag 25 points per game while allowing just 7 points all year in registering a 5-0-1 mark. In Jr. Bantam action, Henry Amos. Santana McKee and Benjie Griggs e^ch scored a pair of tonrh downs in a 36-0 win over (he Dol phins to continue unbeaten in 5 games. The Vikings' sixth straight win without a loss, a 47-0 victory over Lewisville in Jr. Bantam division play, came as a result of a great overall game, according to head coach Willie Ashford Jr. Scoring touchdowns for the Vikings were Jermaine Biddle, Marvin Bonner, Ricardo Thomas, Tory Ingram and quarterback Travis Scott. Ashford lauded Carl Potter, Jimmy Farley. Chris Hendrix and Brian Pankey on the defensive line. The second unit was led by Keith Sheff, Patrick Carter and Thomas Wright. Tyrone Russell played a vital part, going both ways on offense and defense. The Vikings won their sixth without a loss, a 36-0 victory over Lewisville. In PeeWee division play, both the Packers and Vikings remain deadlocked forst first with 5-1-0 marks. The Packers defeated King, 28-0, while the Vikings downed Lewisville, 27-6. The Titans rolled to a 31-0 tri umph over the Vikings in Mitey Mite play, upping their record to 5 0-1. The Vikings' Jr. Midget team is now 4-1-0 following a narrow 13 1 2 win over the Titans. In American Conference Flag action, the Vikings downed Lewisville, 26-6, and continued in first place with a 5-1-0 mark. The Indians defeated Mt. Tabor's Falcons, 19-8, to break a first place deadlock in National Conference Flag competition. The Indians are now 6-0-0 while Mt. Tabor dropped to 5-1-0.
