sent from Washington. He will be
sentenced Thursday. The extreme

near Madison, today shot and fatally
wounded the 12-year-old daughter
of Thomas Belton, a tenant on Meaw
negro went to

away from home and tried to get the
girl to go with him to a piece of
woods. She refused and began to

kill her if she declined to accompany

pistol from his pocket and ahoc her

years of age. lie haa the reputation
