Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Blair, of
Sandy Ridge, came up Monday.
They expect to leave today for
Winston, where Mr. Blair has
accepted a position as salesman
. in a clothing store.
Mr. J. Wm. Morefield, of
Meadows, was here recently. Mr.
Morefield who recently bought
out the mercantile business of
Mr. G. W. Neal, at Meadows,
expects to begin selling goods
the first of the new year.

Presbyterian church here next
Sunday morning at 11 o'clock
and probably at night also.
Misses Mary Lambeth and
Mabel Crutchfield, of Guilford
College, arrived here Friday and
opened the public school Mon
day. Both of the young ladiefc
are graduates of Guilford Col
lege, and are well equipped for
teaching.
