May is the time to spray the fruit trees. The peach trees should be sprayed with a mix ture of 8 pounds of fresh stone lime and 8 pounds of flower of sulphur in 50 gallons of water; to this should be added li pounds of powdered arsenate of lead. Use the same solution for all kinds of plums and cherries. The apple trees should be spra\ - ed with a commercial concentrat ed lime sulphur solution, U gallons to 50 gallons of water, to which should be added 1$ pounds of powdered arsenate of lead. Use a good pump that will give enough pressure to produce a fine mist spray. Do not drench the trees, but cover the fruit clusters thoroughly, so that the insects will not find a place on the young firuit to feed on. This will be a good season for fruit. Danger of killing by frost is practically past. The apple trees have an abundant bloom and promise to set a full crop. As soon as the petals begin to drop off, the bloom should be sprayed. Be sure to fill the calyx cups with the spray solu tion—that's where the worn gets ih. If the trees are no' sprayed, all the fruit will be wormy and will drop off. Don't neglect to spray the fruit trees. This is the most important syray of the season. In Our Age of Specialists the Public Demands the Ser vices of Professional Men who Specialize.
