J. Speers won the third; and H. F. Lesh won the fifth with J. A. Stockwell the runner-up. H. N. Campbell won the ninth and A. J. Shea, the fourteenth. In addition they carried away some consolation trophies. -o G. W. Dodd got a new kind of birdie playing the eighteenth on Number 3 last week. His tee shot put a hen out of exist ence. ---o In the Silver Foil’s team match, the President’s squad ver sus the vice-president, the latter had the edge, winning 19 to 6. Mrs. Ronald H. Barlow captained the winners while Mrs. J. D. Chapman was captain of the president’s team. —-o-— Mixed foursomes will be the style this week. Some strong combinations have already lined up and stiff competition is looked for. , X-. V
