'We are' glad to say that the meetings of the p3St week have also been f u lly at tended. At Coleman's they had a larger , crowd than usual, " good crowds at Blackmer and Mt. Ver non. Harper, the prohibition can didate for. the House made his first speech at the latter place, lie praised "and lauded his competitor, Mr. Lee S. Overman, until the lat ter blushed. .He is a g'ood talker, arid as. a temperance lecture,1 his speech - was a complete ; success. As a political speech it was a flat failure. Citizens of RowanJ turn out and go to the polls. BREAKERS AHEAD. We are reliably informed that the republicans of our county are work ing to complete a republican ticket to. oppose the democrats. The plan is to bring out these candidates three days before the election, .' relying on. tc .feMng of security democrats, they expect to elect their candidate. Let every democrat go to the polls.
