Saturday the junior class will have an all-day picnic at Hogan's, and all members of the class may attend it. Last night the KA's entertained the Chi O's at a party, and last Friday night members of the Carolina Communications Club and their dates atended a weincr roast at Hogan's Lake. Saturday the KA's will enter tain alumni at a dinner at the fraternity house. It will be fol lowed by a Cabin Party. Another pinning is that of Bet ty Jean Livingston of Columbia, S. C, to Pi Kappa Kurt Gillespie, also of Columbia. Pi Lambda Phi will hold its annual Spring House Party this weekend. The members will at tend the Germans and will have a breakfast at the house after the Friday night dance. The fraternity has just finished remodeling the downstairs of the house. Commerce Frat Has Ceremony ; For 19 Initiates Alpha Kappa Psi, professional commerce fraternity, held initi ation ceremonies for 19 pledges in Graham Memorial last Sunday afternoon. The second year also may be completed in such an institution, or may be taken at Chicago College of Optometry. The third, fourth and fifth years are devoted to professional courses which must be completed in art ac credited college of optometry. Student delegates! represented the chapters of th University, Duke, Wake Forest, State, and Davidson. Most of the fraternities and all the sororities are breathing a sigh of relief now that the Valkyrie Sing is over. Although the Hank Beebe-ized Sigma Chi's took first place, the ''Ballet of the Green Brogans" by the Lambda Chi's almost stole the show. Every group that entered the Sing deserves a lot of credit for the many hours they spent pre paring their part of the program.
