Hux, of Weldon, was here between trains Tuesday morning, having brought three run-a-way boys, Masters Frank Whitley, Max Riddick and Jimmie Lawrence, back to their parents. The boys planned to run-a-way and go to far-away Texa3, and very ikely they expected to become cow boys of the West. Boarding the 7:28 train Monday night they made the trip to Weldon, but when they stepped from the car the big, at policeman, dressed in a blue uni form, took the boys in charge, cared for them during the night and brought them safely home the nxt morning. But for the fact that the anxious families missed the boys in ti ne to phone to Weldon and have tnem taken in charge, it is likely th-y wou'd have boarded somf rough train and gone farther away from home and no doubt setn a pretty tough time. The boys are wiser by their ex perience and will doubtless be slow o attempt to run-a-way again soon SICKLY CHID T 3 C- M 9MH A-ZJ y.t ..n-,,.'-, v5?n source of human ailments m general. There is a tract of land about four miles of Scotland Neck, that is said to have been owned by a man named Elie Mulling, who was said to be about the first man that did any building and settled down in this country during the years between 1700 and 1800. On August 31, 1886, Mr. J. B. Burgess was hauling dirt on the same tract of land and he discovered a course of brick that appeared as if there had been a chimney, and in the same place he found a copper button about two thirds the size of a silver dollar, and in the centre of the button there is G W. and around the edge of the button there is a line of letters that j Hro trip President. I think George Washington passed throng this country while he was the President and stopped at Llie Mulling's house and lost his button. C. L. Burgess. Made Well By Vinol Letters from a Grateful Mother New Haven, Conn. "My little girl, ever since her birth, was frail and sickly and nothing seemed to do her any good until we tried your cod liv er and iron tonic, Vinol. As soon as she commenced to take it, I noticed an improvement in her health and ap pearance. She has now taken three bottles of Vinol, and from the good It has done her I can say it will do all you claim for it in building up and strengthening frail and delicate chil dren." (Name furnished on request.) Another mother of Chicago, 111., writes: 'T can not say too much In praise of Vinol for delicate, ailing children." "We ask every mother of a frail, sickly or ailing child in this vicinity to try Vinol on our agreement to re turn their money if it does not do all we claim. For sale by E. T. Whitehead Co.
