You see, I've had a hard time getting my store land myself) readjusted after Christmas. I don't believe we are back to normal yet. All this counting and figuring for the new year sure does get one's head in a whirl. I believe that all who have been in my store will tell you that it is the best arranged ? .?leanest country store they have seen. II haven't seen others lately.) In order to keep it well stocked and pleasing to the eye ? I have to do a lot of work ? not fQ?_J?leasure, but for your shopping convenience. Many times ? while putting out produce and canned stuff or dusting and sweeping ? I wonder why I didn't do some thing else for a living ? Some thing easy, like being an in ventor. Then, one morning (I wasn't thinking) I started to the barn ? before daylight ? tjo milk the cow and feed the pig. Swish (quicker than lightning) ? rubber boots and frost-cover ed grass parted ? milk pail, slop bucket and my feet reached about the same level ? above my head and body. I've studied about it, and wondered why I couldn't make something that could move quicker than lightn ing. Well ? the other evening it happened ? right here in the store. If it works out all right ? / every industry in the country (as well as housewives) will be benefitted. Sorry, folks, here comes some customers ? I gotta get busy ? I'll tell you about it next week.
