ALL FOR THE CHURCH The Church is the greatest f v : on earth for the building of character and cooi citizenship. It is a storehouse of spiritual va'-fs. Without a strong Church, neither democracy r . virilization can survive. There are four sounu vc.'isons why every person should attend services regularly and support the Church. They are: (I) For his own sake. (2) For his children's sake. (3) For the sake of his community and nation. (4) For the sake of the Church itself, which needs his moral and material support. Plan to go to church regularly and read your Bible daily. Day Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Book Luke Luke Matthew Genesis Proverbs Proverbs II Timothy Chapter Verses 21-33 41-52 19-23 19 8 22-25 6 One of the great days in Joe's life . . . and not just because it's a birthday. It's THE birthday. The third birthday, which, in the custom of Joe's church, brings a child to the threshold of formal religious edu cation. Already Dad and Mother have taught him his prayers. Simple Bible stories have brightened bedtime. And Joe has enjoyed many a happy hour in the church nursery while his parents worshipped. But during this important third year of his life he will become a full-fledged Sunday School pupil. He'll be a "regular" in the Begin ners' Department. And Joe's parents are going to join an adult class. For, while starting-age may vary slightly in one church or another, all Chris tendom knows that sound religious education depends on The Big Three ? Father, Mother, and Child!
