WEST END NEWS
By SALLIE AUMAN
Prize Winners
West End is always proud of
its school but never more so than
Saturday when the- seventh
graders won three out of the pos
sible eight places in the North
Central District Science Fair at
N. C. State College, which in
cludes 16 counties.
Vernon Sutphin won first
place in the junior physical divi

Materials.” Also in the junior

had observed their excellent
work during the year.
Others at the fair were Mrs.
North Lewis with Rick and
Chuck and Douglas Tuttle and

that this small school could do
so well in competition with city
schools and the larger schools in
the district.
