In the game here, Jimmie Brown led his team to victory by fe«ding the ball to Gaylord who made thirteen of his team'* 28 points. Besides feeding the ball to his teammate, Brown fol lowed it from one of the court to the other, often taking it from an op ponents hand just to send it back to his own goal for two points. He cag ed fourt shots. At right forward, H. Brown played a steady and hard game, making six points. Sykes and War rington held the Aulander stars to the small score, playing their usual good game at guard. Score 13-12 Entering the second game of the' season here last night, Jamesville and Everetts staged one of the fastest basketball games yet seen by any of 460 or more fans attending, Everetts winning by a margin of one point. It was anybody's gam during the first quarter, for the score at the end of that period resulted in a tie, one all. Both teams were playing stellar ball, and for a while fans thought that nothing but free throws would be registered. The referee and his whis tle were drowned in the loud cheers sent out by fans from the two towns, and the ball was carried the distance of the court many times before the players would hear the signal. Cherry, for Everetts, started the scoring with a three throw in the initial period, Jimmie Brown offsetting the point by m caged shot from his free throw line. Both teams would not up a bit, but played the ball hurriedly every minute. Warrington, guard for Jamesville, broke the 1-1 tie by cag ing a long shot from the field, bring ing Jamesville's scoring to a close un til the last quarter. Faulkner knotted the score a few seconds later with a field goal. Bullock, Everetts center, scored, bringing the half to a close with the score 5 to 3. In the third period, Everetts made four points, holding Jamesville score less during that period. Defeat fac ed Jamesville when its team went the entire period without scoring, but in the last quarter its players staged a comeback that threatened Everetts' lead and claim to victory, but with nine points scored in the last, James ville missed tieing the score by one points, Everetts added four points in that period, having made that many in each of the last three quarters. The game was so close that many fans .were in doubt as to the victors until the official score was announced Everetts 13, Jamesville 12. While a thinj game between the two teams has not been officially an nounced, it is understood that another will be played to break the tie, Jamesville having won in a first game 11 to 10, played here the last day of January.
