Tuesday and Wednes day will be spent in perfecting plays and correcting any errors that may come up. Long practices will be held on Monday and Tuesday mornings with a short tapering-off workout on Wednesday "We want to be at top shape from the beginning of the season, and I feel that many mistakes and errors 1 made due to inexperienec can and will be corrected during these spec ial last-minute workouts," said the Skipper, adding that he was fairly well pleased with his club, although two or three changes are being an ticipated in the near future. Ken Rymer Makes Bow In Professional Baseball Here KEN RYMER. youthful Canton (N C.) ball player, is making his bow to the professional baseball world here next week, his heart and soul set on a successful diamond career. He is making his debut on the mound, Skipper Frank Rodgers explaining that he was not decided just now when he would start the promising rookie. A brother to John Rymer, who played with Tarboro several years ago. Ken is entering the profession al game after two successful seasons with the strong Champion Y team. He made up his mind to enter pro fessional ball back in his high school days and it was then that he start ed getting his training. He plays the game from two angles, first from the standpoint of enjoyment and. secondly, from the standpoint of a career. Last year he pitched eight games, winning five and losing three in a community league that offered strong competition Ken "chunks" right-handed and is perfectly built for work on the mound He possesses the determina tion to keep working, and during the past few days of the Martins' train ing season, he has impressed Skip per Rodgers and the fan wolves.
